From Japanese porcelain to printmaking, Matthew Rowe has spent his life exploring varied artistic media. Bringing his work a background in philosophy, Rowe strives to understand the spiritual, emotional, and technical components of the creative process. "Historically, what made New Mexico artists unique is that they valued creating art over selling it," he says. "That's why they came here in the first place. I am dedicated to learning everything about art in New Mexico and how it fits into the global art community."
